Man charged with murder after Knowsley Heights flat death

A man has been charged with murder after a woman died in Huyton earlier this week.

Merseyside Police received a report at around 10:30pm that a woman, now known to be 32-year-old Rebekah Campbell, had been stabbed inside a flat on Knowsley Heights.

Officers gave first aid until paramedics arrived and she was taken to hospital, but she died a short time later from her injuries.

Michael Ormandy, 34, of Linacre Road, Litherland, was arrested and has today (17 April) been charged with murder.

He's been remanded in custody and will next appear at Liverpool Magistrate's Court on Saturday 19 April.
