Man (83) charged after fatal Heswall crash
A 28-year-old man in a wheelchair was hit and died in hospital
An 83-year-old man has been charged after a fatal crash in Heswall last year.
A grey Fiat Punto was involved in a collision with a 28-year-old man in a wheelchair and a pedestrian in his 50s on Sunday 21 April 2024.
Jaymie Rajan Tank, who was in the wheelchair, was taken to hospital but died later the same day.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.
Terence Page, 83, of Oldfield Drive, in Heswall, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He appeared at Liverpool Magistrate's Court today (10 November) and is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court next month.
