Man charged with attempted murder after Everton collision
Pedestrian suffered serious head injury after van failed to stop

A man has been charged with attempted murder following a collision involving a pedestrian in Everton.
Merseyside Police said officers were called to Jennifer Avenue at around 6.25pm on Tuesday 14th April after reports that a blue Peugeot van had collided with a man in his 30s.
The van failed to stop at the scene and drove away towards Scotland Road. The vehicle was later found abandoned on Latimer Street in Vauxhall.
The victim suffered a serious head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment. Police have confirmed he has since been discharged.
Thomas Conder, 35, of Hopwood Street, Liverpool, has now been charged with attempted murder.
He is due to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court today, Friday 8th May.
Two others bailed
Police also confirmed two other people have been conditionally bailed following arrests linked to the investigation.
A 33-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, possession with intent to supply a Class A drug (cocaine), and possession of a Class B drug (cannabis).
A 29-year-old woman from Liverpool was re-arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and additionally arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug (cocaine).
