Liverpool Pride to return with expanded events across city
Organisers say the event will feature a larger programme after last year's challenges
Liverpool’s Pride is set to return this summer with an expanded city-wide programme featuring headline music performances, a Pride March and community events across the city.
The event will take place on 24th and 25th July 2026, with organisers saying it marks a major rebuild following last year's cancellation and a scaled-back celebration delivered after a rapid recovery effort.
Thousands of people are expected to attend the weekend, which organisers say will include activities across Liverpool city centre, the waterfront and the Pride Quarter.
Headline acts announced
The weekend will begin with an opening party at the M&S Bank Arena on Friday 24th July.
Acts announced for the event include Sugababes, Beth Ditto, Bimini, Tia Kofi, House Gospel Choir and Horse Meat Disco.
Organisers said proceeds from the opening party will support the work of Sahir House and contribute towards Liverpool’s Pride Saturday programme.
Pride March to take centre stage
The Pride March will take place on Saturday 25th July and is expected to bring together thousands of people in support of LGBTQ+ communities.
Alongside the march, Liverpool Experience Campus will host a community programme led by Debbie Darling featuring performances from House of Suarez, Sonia and Jester Boy, with additional guests due to be announced.
A Pride Expo will also bring together businesses, creatives and community organisations as part of the weekend's activities.
Organisers outline ambitions
Mark Christopherson, on behalf of organisers Sahir, said: “Liverpool’s Pride 2026 represents a huge step forward - not just for the city, but as part of the wider UK Pride landscape. Following last year’s challenges, we’ve worked hard to rebuild something bigger, more inclusive and more ambitious. We’re proud to invite people from across the country to come and experience Liverpool at its very best.”
James Doherty, on behalf of organisers LCR Pride Foundation, said: “Pride is a protest, a celebration, and a promise to our community. This year, we are making good on that promise. By bringing together the best of the region’s organisations and voices, we are building a Pride that doesn't just look past yesterday's hurdles, but actively builds a stronger, more united tomorrow.”
Liverpool’s Pride will take place from 24th to 25th July 2026.
