Liverpool ONE hosting first-ever Toy Parade
It includes decorations made by children taking part
Liverpool ONE is kicking off its Christmas celebrations with a massive Toy Parade!
The streets will be filled with festive characters, music, special visitors, with decorations hand-made by the children and young people taking part.
The 40-minute parade will take place at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.
Claire House, a charity supporting seriously and terminally ill babies, children and young adults will be part of the parade.
Jennifer Hanley, a fundraiser at Claire's House, said:
"As Liverpool ONE’s Charity of the Year, we are very excited to be involved in the Toy Parade. Some of the children who come to the hospice have made their own decorations and can’t wait to show them off.
"Any awareness raised, both from the event and throughout the partnership, will help us reach more local babies, children and young adults who need our support from our sites in Liverpool and Wirral."
Donna Howitt, Deputy Centre Director at Liverpool ONE, said:
"We’re feeling festive here at Liverpool ONE with one of our busiest festive programmes ever. We’re anticipating a record trading period for our brands and we can’t wait to welcome visitors from the region and beyond to enjoy the festive period at the heart of the city once again.
"From returning favourites such as Bar Hütte under our giant Christmas tree, and family fun at Christmas on the Park, to exciting events including our brand-new Toy Parade supporting Claire House and even roaming polar bears, there’s truly something for everyone!
"The festive season is such a magical time of year, and we look forward to making this Christmas unforgettable for our visitors, whether they’re picking up gifts for loved ones, catching up with friends, or simply soaking up the atmosphere."
