Hunt for van driver after Wrexham hit and run leaves wheelchair-user seriously hurt
Detectives want to hear from anyone with information about the vehicle
An investigation's underway after a woman in a wheelchair was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Wrexham.
It happened on Meadow Lea at around 11.10am on Saturday 15th August.
It involved a white Ford Transit Tripper type van and the pedestrian.
The driver has not yet been identified, according to North Wales Police.
Police appeal for witnesses
Detective Sergeant Katie Davies, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said the force is continuing efforts to trace the vehicle.
"We are continuing to make efforts to identify the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision and I am appealing for any information regarding the vehicle involved," Detective Sergeant Katie Davies said.
"Anybody who was travelling in the area and saw the vehicle or may have dashcam footage of it is asked to contact us," she said.
"I would thank members of the public who have already assist our investigations," she said.
"Anybody who witnessed the collision or has any information that could assist our enquiries is asked to contact police via our website or by calling 101, quoting reference 26000667358," she said.
