Witnesses sought for serious Chester collision
A 70-year-old woman has died following a vehicle crash in Chester, prompting authorities to seek witnesses and dashcam footage to assist their investigation.
The incident occurred at 11.33 pm on Parkgate Road, at the junction with Welsh Road, involving two vehicles: a grey Cupra Born and a black Kia Sportage.
The elderly passenger in the Kia sustained serious injuries and died at the scene, while her family is currently being supported by specialist officers.
The driver and two other passengers in the Kia were also seriously injured and have been hospitalised, with a fourth passenger suffering minor injuries.
The driver of the Cupra Born remained unharmed in the collision.
Cheshire Police have stated that enquiries are ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
Inspector Andrew Dennison emphasised the importance of witness testimonies and dashcam footage, saying:
“We are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened or has any dashcam footage which may aid our investigation to get in touch with us. Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the woman who has sadly died.”
