Everton woman charged over New Year's Eve 'murder'
Police were called to a house on Rothwell Street where a man had been seriously injured
A woman has been charged with murder following an incident at a house in Everton on New Year's Eve.
Officers were called to an address on Rothwell Street just after 4pm following a report of a domestic-related assault.
When they arrived, officers found a 63-year-old man who had suffered a number of serious injuries.
The man was taken to hospital where he sadly died in the early hours of Wednesday (1 January).
Gillian Shaw, 61 years, of Rothwell Street, Everton was arrested at the scene and later charged with murder. She was remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court today (Thursday 2 January).
