A Dispersal Zone has been introduced in Netherton by Merseyside Police following reports of anti-social behaviour caused by youths.

The zone began operating at 10pm on Friday, 2nd October, and will continue until 10pm today, on Saturday, 3rd October.

The designated area is outlined by several roads in Netherton, including Northern Perimeter Road, Chapel Lane and Sefton Moss Lane, among others.

Under Section 34 of the Anti-Social Behaviour & Policing Act 2014, officers have the authority to instruct individuals they suspect of causing or likely to cause nuisance to leave the area and stay away for up to 48 hours.

Police also have the power to confiscate items used in anti-social acts, including vehicles.

Returning after being directed to leave can result in arrest.
