Boy arrested after teenager pushed off bike in St Helens collision
A 12-year-old remains in custody as Merseyside Police say their investigation is continuing.
A 12-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault following a collision in St Helens.
Merseyside Police say a 16-year-old boy was left needing hospital treatment for facial injuries after he was pushed from his bike by a male on an electric scooter in Kirkstone Avenue at around 2.55pm on Friday 10 July.
It led to the teenager to be in collision with a stationary vehicle.
The male on the scooter then left the scene.
A police cordon has been in place in Kirkstone Avenue, with officers starting an investigation into what hapepned.
Officers have been carrying out house-to-house, CCTV and forensic enquiries.
A 12 year-old boy is said to remain in custody and enquiries remain ongoing.
Detective Inspector Ruth Tickle said: "These are the early stages of our investigation as we establish what has taken place.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area of Kirkstone Avenue who witnessed the incident or has CCTV, dashcam or doorbell camera footage to come forward and speak to us.”
