Woman dies after falling ill at Anglesey music festival

A woman has died after falling ill at a music festival on Anglesey.

Emergency services were called to the Tonnau festival at the Carreglwyd Estate in Llanfaethlu at around 1.45am on Saturday, 11th July, following reports of a medical emergency.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the 18-year-old woman died in hospital a short time later.

Investigation ongoing

North Wales Police said her death is being treated as unexpected while enquiries continue.

The coroner has been informed.

Detective Inspector Iolo Edwards said: "Our thoughts remain with the woman's family and loved ones at this difficult time.
