A fundraiser to help a Merseyside family to make special last memories with their beloved daughter, who was born with half a heart, has reached over £30,000.
Sienna Alfonso's young life has been filled with hospital visits and surgeries - but the strain on her heart and organs is increasing.
Tragically, she has been told she has no more than two years to live, and she could pass away at any point.
Thousands of pounds has now been raised to help make as many final special memories as possible.
Her family said:
"She is our only daughter. our everything.
"She doesn’t walk or talk, but she smiles when she’s happy and laughs in her own way. She doesn’t know how fragile she is , she doesn’t know her life is short and that makes this even harder. She doesn’t know her risk for a cardiac arrest."
Plans are still being made to raise even more money - family friend Chris Reilly is planning a charity challenge cycling from Liverpool to Leeds and back again.
Chris said:
"We will be doing it dressed as princesses.
"If possible, I’ll be dressed as Sienna’s favourite Snow White.
"If it makes people smile, gets attention and helps raise money for Sienna and other children in need, then it’s absolutely worth it.
"The hope is that the challenge and the kindness of strangers will help give Sienna experiences and moments of joy that she and her family will treasure forever.
"Because while time may be uncertain, love, memories and community can last a lifetime."
