Three men charged after police stop car linked to South Killingholme burglaries
The vehicle was stopped on the M62 westbound near junction 35
Three men have been charged after officers from the Kinetic Roads Crime Team responded to reports of a vehicle being driven suspiciously in South Killingholme (4 November).
The vehicle was later stopped on the M62 westbound near junction 35, where officers allegedly discovered a quantity of stolen cables and copper believed to be worth approximately £15,000.
Following the incident, Jack Johnson Lee, 44, has been charged with:
- Two counts of burglary
- Attempt burglary with intent to steal
- Attempt theft
- Driving whilst disqualified
- Using a motor vehicle without third-party insurance
Jack Smith, 46, and Lyncham Smith, 20, have both been charged with:
- Two counts of burglary
- Attempt burglary with intent to steal
- Attempt theft
All three men have been remanded into custody and are due to appear at Hull Magistrates’ Court later today (Thursday, 6 November 2025).
Police say the charges follow proactive work by the Kinetic Roads Crime Team, who acted swiftly to locate and intercept the vehicle after reports of suspicious activity in the area.
