Three arrests and drug seizures after Louth police operation
Weapons and cash also seized in Burghley Crescent raid
A planned police operation in Louth led to three arrests and the seizure of drugs, weapons, and cash following a raid on a property in Burghley Crescent.
The operation, conducted on 21st September by Louth’s Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and the Tactical Support Team specialist unit, targeted concerns about drug-related anti-social behaviour.
Two men were arrested at the scene and are set to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on 23rd September.
Liam Platt, 29, from Marian Avenue, Mablethorpe, faces charges of possession with intent to supply class A (cocaine) and class B (cannabis/steroid) drugs.
Charlie Bradbury, 31, from Burghley Crescent, Louth, is charged with similar possession with intent to supply charges, as well as being involved in the supply of class B drugs.
A third individual, a 52-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of drug supply/production and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Investigation efforts followed community reports of anti-social behaviour linked to the property.
NPT Sergeant Kelly Palmer emphasised the importance of community cooperation in such operations.
"We understand the impact that suspected drug-related activity and anti-social behaviour can have on a community, and we want residents to know that we are listening to their concerns and taking action where there is credible information and evidence to support it. The results of this warrant demonstrate how information provided by the public helps us build an accurate intelligence picture and target our resources where they are needed most."
Residents are encouraged to report concerns about drug activity or anti-social behaviour via the non-emergency number 101, the 'Tell us about' section on www.lincs.police.uk , or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
