Three arrested after £15,000 of suspected stolen cables found in van

Three men have been arrested after police stopped a vehicle suspected of being involved in thefts across North Lincolnshire.

Officers were called to reports of a van acting suspiciously on East Field Road in South Killingholme at around 3.45pm on Tuesday (4 November).

The Kinetic Roads Crime Team later located the vehicle and brought it to a stop on the M62 westbound near junction 35 at around 6.45pm.

A search of the van uncovered a suspected quantity of stolen cables and copper worth around £15,000.

A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving without a licence, driving without insurance, theft, and theft of a motor vehicle.

A 46-year-old man and an 18-year-old man were also arrested on suspicion of theft.

All three remain in police custody while enquiries continue.
