Man hospitalised after failing to stop for police and crashing into building

He's been left with injuries believed to be serious

A man has been hospitalised after failing to stop for police and crashing into a building in Lincolnshire.

The grey Ford Transit van collided with a property on Main Road, South Reston shortly after 11.45am yesterday (16th February).

The driver, a 24- year-old man, was taken to hospital with injuries thought to be serious.

He had failed to stop for officers at the time.

Detectives are now appealing for anyone with information.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said, "Our investigation is underway and we are appealing for witnesses that may have seen a grey Ford Transit in the Gayton Le Marsh or surrounding areas in the 30 mins before the collision.

"We would also like to speak to anyone who saw the vehicle as it travelled from Gayton Le Marsh where the driver then turned right onto the A157 and drove towards South Reston.

"Anyone who may have video footage, dashcam or security footage that captures the grey van between 11.15am and 11.45am is asked to get in touch."
