The Red Arrows have been grounded after an RAF Hawk T2 aircraft crashed near RAF Valley in Anglesey.

Both pilots ejected from the jet before it crashed on Wednesday 23rd September, and are now receiving medical treatment, the RAF said.

The pilots' families are being supported.

As a precautionary measure, the RAF has temporarily paused all Hawk T1 and T2 operations, including flights by the Red Arrows display team, while investigations into the crash continue.

RAF Valley, on Anglesey, is home to advanced and basic fast jet flying training for the RAF, with Hawk T2 aircraft used to train pilots there.

Further updates are expected in due course.
