The family of a 'beautiful, kind and fun-loving' woman have paid tribute to her after she died following a four-vehicle collision near Grimblethorpe.

The collision happened on a straight section of the A157 just after Gayton le Wold, heading towards Louth, on Sunday 15 March.

Pauline James, 79, who was from Mablethorpe and driving at the time, died a day after being taken to hospital.

A four-year-old boy, who was a passenger in a different car, also died on 23 March.

Investigations into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing.

"We will miss her warm and crazy presence every day."

Pauline's family said: "We are beyond broken that our perfect, beautiful, kind and fun-loving Mum, Grandmother and Great Grandmother sadly passed away following a road traffic collision.

“She was deeply adored and treasured by all who were lucky enough to meet her. We will miss her warm and crazy presence every day. She wasn't just anyone, she was our world.

“Pauline was a gifted figure skater in her younger years and then went on to own her own business. But her greatest and proudest achievement was the family that she raised and nurtured. Her family was very much her priority above all else and meant absolutely everything to her.

“She meant everything and more to us and every day will feel empty without her. The most perfect woman who wasn't ready to leave this world.”
