North East Lincolnshire Council renews pledge to tackle anti-social behaviour
Commitment strengthens support for victims and community safety efforts

North East Lincolnshire Council has reaffirmed its commitment to combating anti-social behaviour (ASB) and supporting victims, renewing its pledge with ASB Help, a charity dedicated to addressing the issues of ASB nationwide.
The pledge, initially joined by the Council in 2021, signifies ongoing efforts to reduce crime and enhance community safety. ASB Help was founded in 2013, spurred by the tragic case of a mother and daughter who suffered prolonged ASB in 2007.
The renewed pledge outlines six primary aims designed to promote awareness, adhere to legislation, ensure accessibility, foster continuous improvement, encourage communication, and empower victims.
A dedicated independent ASB Case Review chair and Victim Champion have been appointed to ensure victims receive appropriate support from local organisations.
Paul Caswell, Head of Safer Towns and Communities, emphasised the importance of the renewed pledge in advancing the drive against ASB in the borough.
"This is a great step forward in our campaign against ASB in North East Lincolnshire," Caswell said.
“The Council are already taking huge steps forward in helping victims and ensuring residents have a simple way of reporting ASB should they be affected by it."
The pledge’s renewal strengthens intentions and aligns with the efforts of a national body to expand community safety measures.
