Man to face murder trial over death of 9 year old girl in Boston
Lilia Valutyte was stabbed in 2022
A man who denies the murder of a nine-year-old girl, who was stabbed as she played in the street, will face a trial next week.
Lilia Valutyte suffered a single stab wound to the chest as she was playing with a hula hoop in Boston, Lincolnshire, at around 6.20pm on July 28, 2022.
The former pupil at Boston Pioneers Academy and Carlton Road Academy was confirmed dead at the Boston Pilgrim Hospital after the incident in Fountain Lane.
Deividas Skebas, 26, formerly of Thorold Street in Boston, denied the murder of Lilia at a hearing at Lincoln Crown Court in October.
Skebas is expected to face a trial, lasting seven days, at the same court on January 26 in front of a High Court judge.
