Man dies after being hit by DAF truck on A15 in Lincolnshire

A man has died after being hit by a DAF truck near the Riseholme Roundabout in Lincolnshire.

Emergency services were called out to the A15 in the early hours of this morning (5 May) to reports a pedestrian had been hit by a truck.

The pedestrian, a man, died at the scene.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said "Following a call received at 1.04am this morning (5 May), officers attended the scene on the A15, around 300m north of the roundabout.

"The collision involved a white DAF truck and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

"Part of the A15 up to the Riseholme roundabout was closed while emergency services attended. The road was re-opened at around 7.50am today."

Officers are now appealing for anyone with information or with dashcam footage of the collision to come forward.
