Man arrested in connection with serious assault in Gosberton

Police are continuing an investigation into a serious assault in High Street in Gosberton

Lincolnshire police have arrested another man in connection with a serious assault in Gosberton.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on 15 June, on suspicion of attempted murder.

He has been released on police bail while investigations continue.

It comes after the incident on 10 June, in which officers were called to High Street.

A man in his 40s was seriously assaulted outside a property. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-altering.

As part of the investigation, officers have already made four arrests:

  • A 24-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder (11 June) and have been released on police bail while investigations continue
  • A 42-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder
  • (12 June) and remain in police custody

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and more information.
