In celebration of Carers Week, running from the 8th to 14th June 2026, Lincolnshire Carer Service is organising events aimed at uniting carers and enhancing community support, aligned with this year's theme of "Building Carer Friendly Communities."

Carers Week is a nationally recognised campaign designed to elevate awareness around caring roles, helping individuals identify as carers and access critical support.

The 2026 theme emphasises the transformative effect of supportive communities on carers' lives.

Lincolnshire Carer Service intends to host a series of activities including local events, drop-ins, support groups, and online sessions to facilitate connection and growth among carers.

Topics covered will span working while caring, hospital discharge, and rights of older carers.

Adam Gardiner, Head of Lincolnshire Services, reinforced the charity's mission: “Our friendly team is here to help make things easier for you, by offering the right information, support, and connecting you with a community of carers.”

As part of its efforts, the charity has organised a trip to the Museum of Technology, allowing carers to explore vintage machinery and WW2 era technology.

Carers can also unwind on a relaxing Boston Belle cruise.

Creative opportunities include craft sessions such as flowerpot painting, jewellery making, and paper flower crafting.

Virtual options encompass mental health first aid, gardening, caring for someone with an addiction, and online arts and crafts workshops.

To access support and participate in Lincolnshire Carers Service events, registration is available via their website.
