A police officer based at Lincoln has avoided jail after admitting driving dangerously.
27-year-old PC Aodan O'Neill must complete 150 hours of unpaid work and has been banned from driving for one year.
The court heard how a marked police car PC Aodan O'Neill was driving hit a man who was using a pedestrian crossing.
He was travelling to an emergency incident and had the emergency lights and sirens on.
Lincolnshire police say they will now consider internal misconduct procedures.
PC Aodan O'Neill is still working as an officer covering non-operational duties.
The pedestrian wasn't seriously injured.
