Teen arrested after reported assault against boy, 14, in Holbeach

Police are investigating after a teenage boy was reportedly attacked, with footage being circulated on social media

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after a reported assault involving a 14-year-old boy in Holbeach.

Officers were called to the Carter’s Park area, near Park Road, shortly just before 6pm on Thursday 10 July.

Police said the victim was reportedly struck, kicked and punched.

He was left with numerous injuries including a nosebleed.

The attack was recorded by people who were there and the footage has been circulating on social media.

Sergeant Callum Corder from the South Holland Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We understand that incidents of this nature can cause considerable concern within our community.

“Our priority is to establish the full circumstances surrounding what happened, and we would urge anyone who has information about this incident to come forward and speak with police.”

Police have also asked people not to share or repost footage of the incident.

Sergeant Corder said: “The circulation of such material can cause further distress to those affected and may impact ongoing investigative efforts.”
