Witnesses urged to come forward after BMW driver arrested in Grantham

Police in Grantham are seeking to identify a man who was nearly hit by a car last night as they continue investigating the incident.

On the evening of 21st June, the Force Control Room received a call reporting a blue BMW 320D driving towards a man near the junction of Elmer Street and Avenue Road at approximately 9:11pm.

Authorities wish to speak with the potential victim, believed to be in his 30s or 40s, to assess any injuries and obtain an account of the incident.

He was wearing a beige t-shirt, blue jean shorts, and a baseball cap at the time.

The BMW was later located on Commercial Road and stopped by Armed Response officers.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and attempting to cause Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH).

He remains in police custody, and the vehicle has been seized.

Police are appealing for further witnesses and anyone with relevant information to assist in the inquiry.
