A misconduct hearing has found a former Lincolnshire Police officer guilty of gross misconduct.

The hearing heard the former officer, who was based at Lincoln police station, saved, shared or uploaded two indecent images of children via a social media platform between 15 and 18 June 2022.

The chair of the panel, Chief Constable Paul Gibson, found the breach to be proven and that it amounted to gross misconduct.

The outcome of the hearing was that former officer A would have been dismissed had he not already resigned.
