Eight-year-old boy seriously injured following collision in Lincoln

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision

An eight-year-old boy is in hospital with serious injuries following a collision with a flatbed lorry on Outer Circle Drive, Lincoln.

The incident occurred around 10.30am on Saturday, 9th May, near the pedestrian crossing close to the junction with Macauley Drive.

Emergency services responded to reports that the child had been struck by a white Mercedes Sprinter flatbed.

The young boy was promptly taken to hospital for treatment.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses who may have observed the collision or seen the child walking near the crossing prior to the incident.

Authorities are also requesting dashcam or recorded footage from motorists in the area to assist with the investigation.

Outer Circle Drive was closed after the collision but has since been reopened.
