Child sex offender jailed for 15 years
Nathan Glover targetted children in Leicester and Skegness between 2006 and 2011
Nathan Glover has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexual offences committed against children in Leicester and Skegness between 2006 and 2011.
Glover, who is 46 years old and from Ardbeg Road in Rothesay on the Isle of Bute, was put behind bars at Leicester Crown Court on Wednesday 11th March.
The case was brought to light in 2021 after one of his victims reported the offences to police, prompting two other victims to come forward with similar accounts of abuse.
The Child Abuse Investigation Unit's non-recent team handled the investigation.
Despite Glover's denial during interviews, he was charged with multiple offences.
After a trial at Leicester Crown Court, Glover was found guilty on 27th November 2025 of three counts of sexual assault of a child under 13 and two counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
In addition to his prison sentence, Glover has been issued a restraining order and placed under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Detective Sergeant Anna Sherwin, who was the officer in charge of the case, acknowledged the burden the victims carried over the years.
She said, “The victims in this case have lived their lives knowing what happened to them for a considerable amount of time and had to re-live their ordeal in front of a jury.
"I hope the outcome of this case has provided them with a degree of closure and allows them to move on with their lives.”
She further encouraged victims of sexual abuse to come forward, stating, “If you’ve been a victim of sexual abuse, it’s never too late to come forward and seek justice.”
