A case of bird flu has been confirmed at a commercial poultry business near Gainsborough.

A 3km Protection Zone and 10km Surveillance zone has been established at the premises say the government's Animal & Plant Health Agency.

It's the second case in Lincolnshire in the last few days, with a separate one confirmed at Market Rasen over the weekend.

A third case has been discovered in Cambridgeshire at Great Shelford.

All birds on the sites will be humanely culled.

The disease can be spread through the birds saliva, droppings and in their nesting areas.

An Avian Influenza Prevention Zone with mandatory biosecurity measures remains in place across the country - meaning there are rules for anyone who keeps birds for business or as pets.
