The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is gearing up for a series of vibrant displays at airshows and events this summer.

The display season officially runs from May to September, with flying schedules influenced by weather conditions and the serviceability of aircraft.

In addition to the full flying displays, the Memorial Flight team participates in up to 900 flypasts each year to optimise flying hours while transiting to and from display locations.

Pre-season work for crews took place in April, finishing with Public Display Approval sought from the Air Officer Commanding No 1 Group for each pilot.

Upcoming events and airshows will feature displays from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, showcasing the rich history and heritage of the aircraft and their importance in British history.
