Two men charged following New Year's Eve gun incident in Skelmersdale

Two men have been charged following an investigation into a reported firearms discharge in Skelmersdale.

Officers were called out to Birch Green Road in Skelmersdale at around 1.24pm on New Year's Eve (2025).

They received reports that a firearm had been pointed at a BMW 1 Series.

They were also called to two reports of damage to properties Windrows and Willow Hey.

They believe the incidents to be linked.

Several people were arrested at the time and bailed as the investigation went on.

Now, two men have been re-arrested and charged. They include Josh Parsons, aged 19 of Fairstead, Skelmersdale, and Leon Parsons, aged 20 of no fixed address.

They've both been charged with:

  • Possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life
  • Threats to kill
  • Conspiracy to supply Class A drugs - Heroin
  • Conspiracy to supply Class A drugs - Crack Cocaine
  • Conspiracy to supply Class B drugs - Amphetamine
  • Conspiracy to supply Class B drugs - Cannabis
  • Josh Parsons will appear at Preston Crown Court on 2 July, whilst Leon Parsons will appear on 3 July.
