Two people have been taken to hospital, after a fire at a Blackpool care home.
Emergency services were called to Queen’s Promenade after 8pm on Wednesday, Blackpool Police said.
21 people were treated at the scene and discharged and two people were taken to hospital for observation.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed it does not believe the fire is suspicious.
Firefighters wore breathing equipment and used several hose reels to put out the fire, authorities said.
The service confirmed the incident had been reduced to one fire engine at 10pm and a number of local road closures remained in place.
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust confirmed in a Facebook post that the major incident had been stood down.
“We dispatched seven ambulances, four Hazardous Area Response Teams, three officers, an advanced paramedic, and a doctor to the scene,” they said in a statement.
“We would like to thank all the emergency services involved in responding to this incident.”
