Two men arrested in Preston after drugs and cash discovered in stop
Officers find cannabis and multiple phones following vehicle search
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences following a proactive vehicle stop by police in Preston.
The incident occurred at around 2.30pm on 30th September, when officers from Preston's Task Force noticed suspicious behaviour by occupants of a black BMW on Ashmoor Street.
Upon detaining the men under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, officers discovered two mobile phones and a large carrier bag containing cannabis during the vehicle search.
Further enquiries at a nearby property uncovered more mobile phones, additional cannabis, and a significant amount of cash.
The men, aged 48 and 35, both from Preston, were arrested for possession with intent to supply controlled drugs and are currently in custody, awaiting questioning.
The operation is part of Lancashire Police's 'Operation Warrior,' which targets serious and organised crime in the area, supported by Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.
