A probation officer is recovering in hospital after being stabbed at a property in Preston.
Emergency crews were called to The Pavilions in Ashton at around 2.30pm on Tuesday afternoon (July 22), where they found a woman in her 30s with stab wounds.
Ryan Gee, of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene.
He has since been charged with attempted murder.
The 35-year-old was also charged with threatening a person with an offensive weapon/bladed article in a private place, two offences of possession of a knife blade in a public place, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and false imprisonment.
Police say it’s being treated as an isolated incident and there is no wider threat to the public.
