Police make fourth arrest following a stabbing in Preston

A fourth arrest has been made by Lancashire Police as part of their investigation into a stabbing in Preston.

It happened near to Moor Park on Monday afternoon.

Officers were called out shortly after 4pm on 31st March to a report of a serious assault on Blackpool Road.

A 15-year-old boy suffered a stab injury and was taken to hospital where he is being treated.

A second 15-year-old boy also suffered a stab injury which was not thought to be serious.

On Monday, a 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and affray, a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding and affray, and a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They remain in custody.

Yesterday (1st April), a 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit Section 18 wounding. He is currently in custody.

Lancashire Police said:

"We continue to appeal for witnesses and information, please contact 101 – quoting log 1001 of 31st March."
