Police in York have launched an investigation following a crash on Bramham Avenue in York.

Officers were called to the incident on Friday (30 May) at around 8.15pm.

The force says it involved a white Ford Fiesta colliding into bollards, with the driver and front seat passenger running from the scene.

It was later discovered that the vehicle had been stolen from an address in the York area.

The road was closed for a number of hours while officers investigated the scene and to allow the vehicle involved to be recovered.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
