The Panjab Warriors 'ready and able' to buy Morecambe Football Club

The group have been in long-running takeover talks with current owners the Bond Group

The Panjab Warriors say they're ready and able to buy Morecambe Football Club 'immediately'.

The group have confirmed funds are in place to clear outstanding wages and debts — which could lift the club’s National League suspension before the deadline of August 20th.

The group have been in long-running takeover talks with current owners the Bond Group.

A statement posted online today says:

"Following detailed discussions yesterday and today, Panjab Warriors are now ready, willing and able to proceed with the purchase immediately.

Yesterday The National League said Morecambe Football Club's membership has been suspended with immediate effect.

The decision was made following a meeting around concerns over the Shrimps' compliance with the National League rules.
