Man in his 60s dies in motorcycle crash on B6255

Police seek witnesses and dash-cam footage to assist investigation

A man in his 60s from Lancashire has died following a motorcycle crash on the B6255 between Ingleton and Hawes.

The incident occurred at around 11.40am on 25th April and involved two motorcycles travelling northbound from Chapel-le-Dale towards Hawes.

The rider of the BMW motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

A rider and passenger on the Honda motorcycle were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and are urging anyone who was driving in the area at the time, or has dash-cam footage, to get in touch.

The road was closed for several hours to allow emergency services and the Major Collision Investigation Team to conduct their work, reopening at 9.30pm on 25th April.
