A man has been jailed for stalking a stalking a woman outside of her home in Preston.
Sean Bean breached a restraining order in January 2025, just one day after it was issued, by driving alongside his victim, whilst intimidating and laughing at her. He also drove past her house 37 times in the space of three and a half weeks.
In a Victim Impact Statement, she told the court: “Sean has turned my life upside down. He has cost me everything. My confidence, my self-esteem, my own self-worth, my mental health, my friends, and nearly my children. I no longer feel safe in my home or anywhere else; I have no freedom, and I feel trapped.”
Bean, 35, of Westfield Drive, Preston was arrested, and following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service later charged with Stalking involving Serious Alarm and Distress and Breach of Restraining Order.
Sean Bean pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 14 months at Preston Crown Court, whilst also being given an indefinite restraining order.
