Tram services near the Heathfield Road stop in Fleetwood will be impacted by essential track maintenance next week.

On the evening of Tuesday, 13th October, trams to and from Blackpool will terminate at Thornton Gate.

A free replacement bus service will operate from 9.30pm until shortly before 1.00am to help passengers complete their journeys.

Full tram services are expected to resume from the start of service on Wednesday, 14th October.

Steve Staley, Tramway Director at Blackpool Transport, emphasised efforts to minimise disruption during this period.

Staley said, “We’re doing all we can to minimise any inconvenience during these essential works, including providing a free shuttle bus service."

The tram service adjustments have been scheduled overnight to reduce the impact on residents and businesses.

Staley added, “Every effort will be made to keep any disturbance to a minimum, and we would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding while the work is carried out.”

Further details, including the amended tram timetable, are available online.
