An owl trapped in a tree was rescued by firefighters and Blackpool Council's tree team at Stanley Park, Blackpool, this morning.

A fire engine from Blackpool arrived at the scene at 8:10am and worked with the tree team to use a safe working at height system to reach the bird.

The owl was safely retrieved and handed over to Brambles Wildlife Rescue for further care.

The crews were in attendance for one hour and 20 minutes.
