Enforcement activity by West Lancashire’s Neighbourhood Policing Team in Ormskirk town centre has targeted retailers suspected of selling illegal and counterfeit goods.

Officers executed a warrant on 28th October, prompted by community concerns about a vape containing THC purchased from local premises. Although no illegal products were discovered, police commitment to acting on public intelligence remains robust.

On 29th October, officers collaborated with Lancashire Trading Standards in an operation at Ormskirk Market, seizing around 1,200 items of counterfeit clothing and toys valued at over £30,000. These goods falsely featured brands like Moncler, Ralph Lauren, and Stone Island.

Local Policing Inspector Anthony Burgess stressed intolerance for illegal trading activities, especially those posing risks to children. He affirmed dedication to protecting consumers and urged public reporting when encountering suspicious goods or activities.

Informants can contact Lancashire Police via their website or call 101, with anonymous tips welcome through Crimestoppers.
