Body found in Bamber Bridge woodland believed to be missing David Henry

Lancashire Police have issued an update regarding the search for missing David Henry.

Around 7pm, officers were called to woodland off Shuttling Fields Lane, Bamber Bridge, following reports of a deceased man being discovered.

While formal identification has not yet occurred, police believe the deceased is 45-year-old David Henry.

David’s family has been informed and is receiving support from police officers.

Police have stated that David’s death is not being treated as suspicious.

A file will be prepared and sent to HM Coroner in due time.

Lancashire Police expressed their condolences, stating: "This is not the outcome anyone wanted, and our thoughts are very much with David’s family, loved ones and friends at this extremely distressing time."

They also extended gratitude to everyone who shared appeals and to partner agencies involved in the search for David.
