Blackpool man charged with drug and weapon offences after venue search

Sean Beresford to appear in court following Market Street incident

A Blackpool man has been charged with multiple offences after drugs and weapons were discovered by venue staff during a routine check.

On Friday, 15th May, police were summoned to a licenced venue on Market Street, Blackpool, at approximately 11:30pm by security staff who found knuckle dusters, a credit card knife, and snap bags of white powder in the men's bathroom.

Officers arrived promptly and arrested a man at the scene.

The individual, identified as Sean Beresford of Fairfield Road, Blackpool, has been charged with two counts of possessing an offensive weapon and one count of possessing a controlled drug, specifically Class A cocaine.

Sean Beresford was charged on 16th May and is scheduled to appear before Lancaster Magistrates' Court on 12th June 2026.
