Appeal after small dog kicked in stomach by walker in Blackpool

The RSPCA is investigating an alleged incident of animal cruelty involving a small dog in Blackpool.

Witnesses reported seeing a man kick and slap a brown dog, potentially a Chihuahua, while walking in the Jeffrey Square area around 7pm on 24th February.

The RSPCA has released a description of the man they believe may hold crucial information about the incident.

He is described as tall, bald or shaven-headed, wearing dark clothing and white trainers.

RSPCA Inspector Kelly Nix said:

“We believe the man may have some important information about this upsetting incident and we are keen to hear from anyone else who knows something about a dog being walked in this area of Blackpool.

"There was also a report made about another attack on the same dog at Thornber Grove nearby.”
