Two men arrested over theft of £8,000 worth of wheelbarrows near Wigan
Wheelbarrows had been going missing from a business in Appley Bridge for weeks
Two men have been arrested after around eight thousand pounds worth of wheelbarrows were stolen from a business near Wigan.
Police say multiple wheelbarrows had been going missing from Chorley Concrete in Appley Bridge over the last eight weeks.
The thefts had been taking place gradually, with items disappearing from the business over that period before the matter was reported to officers.
Yesterday, two men from Preston, aged 32 and 58, were arrested on suspicion of burglary other than a dwelling.
Both men remain in custody, where they are waiting to be questioned by officers.
No further details have been released by police at this stage, as the investigation continues.
