Accrington man jailed for more than three years over heroin and crack cocaine
He was arrested twice for possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply
A man from Accrington has been jailed for more than three years after pleading guilty to possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
Hassan Khan, 22-year-old, of Fountain Street, was sentenced to 38 months in prison at Burnley Crown Court on Thursday 15th October.
Lancashire Police said Khan was first arrested in March 2025, when he was found in possession of heroin and crack cocaine.
He was arrested again in June 2026, when he had both Class A drugs in his possession again, along with almost £700 in cash.
Police response
Sergeant Jade Hutchinson from the Hyndburn Taskforce Police Team said: "This sentence is further evidence of how committed we are to dismantling and disrupting drug supply in Accrington. Drugs bring harm and criminality to our communities, and we will continue to disrupt activity through proactive policing, to make sure our communities are safe places to live, work and visit."
She added: "The information we receive from the public is invaluable to the police and without it we would be unable to carry out this sort of proactive work."
Operation Warrior
Operation Warrior is Lancashire Police's response to tackling serious and organised crime in the county, supported by Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.
Lancashire Police said it aims to target the individuals and gangs involved in crime, as well as associated issues such as violence and intimidation, large scale drug supply, exploitation and fraud, all of which can cause serious harm to local communities.
