Police investigate sexual assault of a woman at Dover Castle

Kent Police say it happened in the wartime tunnels

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted in the wartime tunnels at Dover Castle.

It was reported that at around 1.30pm on Sunday 6 April 2025 a woman was sexually assaulted by a man in the wartime tunnels.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s wearing a black or grey tracksuit.

Officers have carried out a number of enquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage. Investigators are now appealing for witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police.
