Two men have been jailed after running a substantial drug network across Medway, profiting from the distribution of cocaine.

Frank Harris and Andrew Hamilton were found to be operating a sophisticated drug supply network, with Harris at the helm, distributing large quantities of the illicit substance throughout the area.

In December 2023, Harris was stopped by officers in Gillingham, where a search of his car revealed a phone linked to a drug line and £1,635 in cash.

A subsequent search of his home in Rainham uncovered another £2,310 in cash.

Harris had been charged with cocaine supply offences in December 2023.

Despite the dismantling of his operation, a similar network emerged in 2024, prompting a renewed investigation.

Officers discovered that Harris had resumed his drug activities while awaiting trial, employing evasive tactics and recruiting new members, including Hamilton.

On 11th January 2025, Hamilton conducted a drug deal in front of officers in Chatham, resulting in his arrest.

Cocaine worth £2,840 and £640 cash were retrieved during a search.

Subsequent activities while on bail led to further charges upon a warrant execution at his Hoo residence on 11th April 2025.

Hamilton attempted to flee with incriminating items including ammunition and pepper spray.

His property was found to contain cocaine valued between £480 and £640.

On 14th April 2025, Harris was arrested again in Rainham, where £25,000 in cash and empty packaging for cocaine were found.

Frank Harris

At Maidstone Crown Court on 13th February 2026, 33-year-old Harris pleaded guilty to supply charges and was sentenced to nine years in prison, with a five-year Serious Crime Prevention Order to follow his release.

Hamilton, 50, also admitted guilt, receiving a four-year prison sentence.

Detective Sergeant Rob Hemsley commented on the case:

‘Frank Harris arrogantly set up a second drug line whilst still under investigation and employed sophisticated tactics to try to avoid police detection.

‘He recruited Andrew Hamilton and built a profitable drug network which they both benefitted from financially. Despite all their efforts to avoid detection, our investigation was able to track both the drugs and cash back to the two men.

‘As a force, we will relentlessly pursue those who supply drugs in Kent and bring them to justice.’
